My name is Fiona Carolyn,
I was born in 2020 and live in Kassanda, Uganda. I recently had to abandon my studies due to challenging circumstances and my dreams of going to University are on hold at the moment. I had a passion for education with a strong desire to shape young minds, share knowledge and contribute to the development of the next generation.
Fortunately, I haven’t lost my motivation and since I love animals, I have committed myself to creating a positive impact in my community.
So l decided to establish a dog shelter. I love spending time with the dogs I have rescued and I’m always on the lookout to find more dogs that might need my help.
I usually work in my father’s cafeteria to bring in more money, so I can run the shelter. However, to ensure the shelter’s sustainability and the well-being of the animals, we desperately need financial support to purchase dog food and to cover vet bills and the shelter’s day-to-day operational costs.
Despite the obstacles I face on a daily basis, dedicating my time and energy to this cause has given me a great sense of purpose and fulfilment, which makes me feel very lucky that I chose this path.
